Alcoholics Anonymous Web site

Al-Anon/Alateen

For friends and relatives of alcoholics.

Narcotics Anonymous

Membership is open to all drug addicts, regardless of the particular drug or combination of drugs used. When adapting AA's First Step, the word "addiction" was substituted for "alcohol," thus removing drug-specific language and reflecting the "disease concept" of addiction.

Cocaine Anonymous

Cocaine Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from their addiction. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using cocaine and all other mind-altering substances.

Dual Recovery Anonymous

DRA is a twelve step, self-help fellowship organization for people with a dual diagnosis. Our goal is to help men and women who experience a dual illness. We are chemically dependent and we are also affected by an emotional or psychiatric illness. Both illnesses affect us in all areas of our lives; physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually.

Gamblers Anonymous

A fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop gambling.

Nicotine Anonymous

Nicotine Anonymous is a Non-Profit 12 Step Fellowship of men and women helping each other live nicotine-free lives. Nicotine Anonymous welcomes all those seeking freedom from nicotine addiction, including those using cessation programs and nicotine withdrawal aids.

Women for Sobriety, Inc.

A non-profit organization dedicated to helping women overcome alcoholism and other addictions.

Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP)

Provides national leadership in the Federal effort to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and illicit drug problems. CSAP participates in the development of new knowledge about prevention, disseminates it in a user friendly manner, and encourages its application in settings where it is likely to prevent or reduce substance abuse.

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

Research, trends, statistics, and fact sheets on many common drugs of abuse

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD)

Objective information, including statistics, interviews with medical/scientific experts and recommendations about drinking from leading health authorities.

National Inhalant Prevention Coalition

Information on inhalants and huffing. How to recognize signs of inhalant use, tips for teachers, products abused as inhalants, FAQs, inhalant prevention campaign, Spanish version.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving

MADD's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.

The Bacchus Network

An international association of college and university-based peer education programs focusing on alcohol abuse prevention and other related student health and safety issues.

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)

A research institute of the National Institutes of Health that supports and conducts biomedical and behavioral research on the causes, consequences, treatment, and prevention of alcoholism and alcohol-related problems. NIAAA also provides leadership in the national effort to reduce the severe and often fatal consequences of these problems

National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI)

The information service of the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP). NCADI is the nations largest resource for current information and materials about substance abuse and addiction treatment. Latest Research links to studies, research, data sets, and statistics.
