Ron Berg
CEO

Ron Berg - Vice President, Clinical Operations

Ron Berg began his involvement with MECCA as a graduate student intern in 1981, and began full time employment as a half way house counselor in 1982. Ron earned his Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling in 1982.  In 1984 he developed Synchrony's Employee Assistance Program within MECCA. Ron was named Associate Director in 1985 and then promoted to Vice President of Clinical Operations in 2002. Over the years, he has been actively involved with a variety of community coalitions and United Way initiatives.
In the summer of 2010, Ron was named as MECCA's Chief Executive Officer.

 

Shannon Wagner
Vice President, Community Affairs

Shannon Wagner earned her Master's degree in Health Promotion at the University of Iowa in 1995, and shortly thereafter began her career at MECCA as a Prevention Specialist. Shannon then supervised Prevention Services, eventually assuming oversight of marketing, fund development, grant writing, special events, volunteers and quality improvement.
As Vice President, Shannon is responsible for maintaining MECCA's public image and ensuring high quality prevention services are provided throughout the Eastern Iowa Region.
