Coordinator for substance abuse and HIV
programs. Responsibilities include
implementing school-based prevention
curricula, participating in community
coalitions, creating and delivering
presentations to a variety of audiences, and
implementing drug free
workplace trainings for area businesses.
Will also coordinate an HIV prevention
program and conduct HIV and Hepatitis
testing and
counseling. Duties
will primarily be in Johnson and Cedar
counties but occasional travel to Washington

Requires a

Full-time opening for a Site-Based Counselor
to provide substance abuse prevention and
counseling services at local high school.
Incumbent will provide education, support,
and referrals for students as well as
consultation for concerned staff and
parents. Responsible for developing and
facilitating educational presentations and
school-wide prevention campaigns for
students, staff, and parents.
Qualifications include Bachelors Degree in
Counseling, Social Work, Education or
related field and at least one year of
experience working with adolescents.
